Mišo Kokovnik – Landscape

Born in Maribor, Slovenia, in 1957. After finishing the School of Applied Arts in Ljubljana he attended the Academy of Fine Arts where he studied painting. He graduated ffom the Academy in the class of Professor Janez Bemik in 1994. He then specialised in set design and took the position of a theatre painter at the Slovenian National Theatre in Ljubljana. He participated in numerous group and individual exhibitions in Slovenia, Italy and Austria, ineluding the International Biennial of Plastic Arts in Cremona, Italy. Apart from painting, he works in design (Coea Cola, Zlatorog, Slovin, Naš Dom magazine) and set design for drama, opera and ballet performances at the National Theatre. He lives in Kamnik and Ljubljana and works as a freelance artist.
