Lojze Kalinšek – Fisherman and Nymph III

Born in Kranj, Slovenia in 1956. Lojze is a teacher, a painter and an art critic. He graduated ffom the Academy of Teacher Education in Ljubljana. He has participated in and organised numerous art colonies, symposia and events where he likes to exchange opinions and experiences with other colleagues, thus enriching his own Creative inspiration. Within the teaching aspect of his work he organised a biennial project “Portraits of Children” in which children from ali over the world took part. During his 25-year-long career he participated in about fifty individual and over a hundred group shows in Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, Ger-many, Hungary, Finland, India, USA, Egypt, Turkey, Romania, Moldavia… He has received many awarđs, at home and abroad. He is a member of the Union of Slovene Fine Arts Associations (ZDLSU), International Association of Art (IAA) and the European Council of Artists (ECA). He liVes in Cerkovje in Slovenia.
